Job Summary

Career Connect is seeking a skilled and compassionate Career Information and Guidance Adviser to join our team at HMP Sudbury. As a CIAG Adviser, you will play a vital role in supporting offenders in prison to enhance their employment and learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals in custody to engage them in learning, training, and employment opportunities within the prison and on release.
  • Provide one-to-one and group guidance to help offenders achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure the best results for our participants.
  • Record accurate information on participant plans and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Meet individual performance targets and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Requirements

  • Level 4 or above in IAG (Information, Advice, and Guidance) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work a 37.5-hour week and occasional extra hours.
