Job Title: Career Information and Guidance Adviser

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Information and Guidance Adviser to join our team at HMP Sudbury. As a CIAG Adviser, you will play a vital role in supporting offenders in prison to enhance their employment and learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with offenders in custody to engage them in learning, training, and employment opportunities within the prison and on release.
  • Provide one-to-one and group work to support offenders in achieving their career goals.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure the best results for our participants.
  • Record accurate information on participant plans and maintain databases and systems.
  • Meet individual performance targets and adhere to quality and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Career Information Advice and Guidance level 4 Diploma (preferable).
  • Experience of working with offenders or other disadvantaged groups.
  • Proactive, good communication, and effective teamwork skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £26,485 - £30,012 per annum.
  • Flexi-time and a 37.5-hour working week.
