About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Waythrough. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting their mental wellbeing and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support.
  • Enter accurate case notes onto our IT system, ensuring timely and effective communication with the team.
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as GP surgeries and local councils, to ensure seamless support for individuals.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a mental health or social care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
  • Understanding of mental health issues, including drug and alcohol misuse, and county lines.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
