We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Career Information and Guidance Adviser to join our team at HMP Sudbury. As a CIAG Adviser, you will play a vital role in supporting offenders in prison to enhance their employment and learning opportunities.
About the RoleThe CIAG Adviser will work with individuals in custody to engage them in learning, training, and employment opportunities within the prison and on release. This will involve one-to-one and group work, as well as recording accurate information on participant plans using databases and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide career guidance and support to offenders in prison
- Help individuals set and achieve learning and employment goals
- Work with offenders to develop plans for release and reintegration into the community
- Record accurate information on participant plans using databases and systems
We offer a competitive salary of £26,485 - £30,012 per annum, as well as reimbursement for additional travel beyond your main base of work. Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays, and we offer up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service. We also provide a friendly and supportive work environment, with opportunities for training and internal progression.
Requirements- Preferable Qualification in Career Information Advice and Guidance level 4 Diploma
