Fuel Processing and Auxiliaries Engineer Role

Are you an experienced Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer looking for a new challenge? Our Engineer role involves leading both team colleagues and contractors, underpinned with subject matter technical knowledge in your plant area. Based at our site, it's a Monday-Friday role, though at times there may be a requirement to work an odd weekend at the height of our project delivery. After all, we understand the need for a work/life balance.

The role takes responsibility for day-to-day people leadership and has the ownership of a plant area which includes outage engineering support, refurbishment, and maintenance. You'll be responsible for long-term plant integrity, preserving the Fuel Processing and Auxiliary Plant systems, minimizing costs, and above all delivering an engineering and maintenance strategy. You'll play a key role, leading both projects and maintenance interventions that support the long-term commercial and operating approach in this extensive and varied plant area.

Contract management responsibilities will include:
  • Risk assessment
  • Supervision of contractor work
  • Setting of work when acting as Contract Owner/User
Through the work management system, you'll oversee the effective preparation and implementation of preventative, breakdown and outage defects, schedules, and work packages. You'll also deliver compliance against legislative, statutory, corporate, and site policy and procedures in relation to Health, Safety, and the Environment, Engineering, and Quality requirements.

You'll need to have (or be willing to work towards) a minimum of an HND in an Engineering related discipline, ideally holding a Bachelor's degree and being a member of a Professional Engineering Institution. You'll have experience delivering key Engineering projects in operational areas such as:
  • Fuel oil systems
  • Cranes
  • Fire systems
We offer colleagues a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. This includes company-funded benefits which provide protection for your family, support your health and wellbeing, and retirement savings plans to help you prepare for a secure future.
