We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Mpac Lambert, where you will play a key role in the electrical build, wiring, and electrical testing of special purpose automation.
Key Responsibilities- Wire machines, sub-assemblies, and control panels to Mpac schematics and documentation.
- Collaborate with Senior Electrical Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and project teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure accurate time booking and logging of rework/non-value time.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and participate in machine site installations and set-ups.
- Support apprentice development and demonstrate respect, integrity, trust, and excellence in interactions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Proven ability to work under own supervision or as part of a multi-technical team.
- Experience in electrical engineering and automation machinery.
- Good understanding of low voltage systems, analogue and digital IO, and other typical automation systems.
- Proficient with schematics and problem-solving.
- Sound IT skills and ability to read and understand technical and electrical schematics.
- ONC/BTEC/City and Guilds in a relevant electrical/mechatronic engineering discipline.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of installations with pneumatic/electro-pneumatic equipment.
- Understanding of EMC screening, earthing, and bonding for machinery.
- Basic PLC programming skills.
