Job Description

This role involves working as an Electrical Systems Specialist, responsible for electrical builds, wiring, and testing special purpose automation equipment. The successful candidate will be part of our Production team but will also gain exposure to working closely with manufacturing teams and the wider Operations department.

The primary duties include:

  • Wiring machines, sub-assemblies, and control panels according to Mpac schematics and documentation.
  • Collaborating with Senior Electrical Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and project teams to resolve issues and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Ensuring accurate time booking and logging non-value time appropriately.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participating in machine installations and set-ups in the UK or abroad.
  • Supporting apprentice development and contributing to their growth.

The role demands strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven ability to work under own supervision or as part of a multi-technical team.
  • Experience in an electrical engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems, analogue and digital IO, and typical automation systems.
  • Proficiency with schematics and problem-solving.
  • Sound IT skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and electrical schematics.
  • ONC / BTEC / City and Guilds in a relevant electrical/mechatronic engineering discipline.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible approach to adapting to changing priorities.
