About the Opportunity


This is an exciting chance to lead a developing mental health social work service in North Powys, based in Welshpool. As a Senior Practitioner - Mental Health, you will have the opportunity to manage and support a small team of qualified social workers and AMHP staff.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management team and oversee the delivery of quality services.
  • Provide supervision and complex case work advice to team members.
  • Deliver AMHP interventions under the MHA 1983 (2007) subsequent amendments.
  • Manage caseloads, allocations, and case closures.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to develop social care processes.


About You



  • You must hold an AMHP qualification and be committed to strengths-based practice and co-production.
  • A passion for working collaboratively with citizens and families is essential.
  • You should also be committed to social inclusion and have a passion for learning.
  • A passion for service development, with citizen experience at the heart, is also required.
