Job Title: Stroke Consultant Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Consultant Physician to join our team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our stroke service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our stroke services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with acute stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA)
  • Lead and participate in clinical teams to develop and implement stroke care pathways
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in research and audit activities to improve stroke care
  • Provide teaching and training to medical students and junior doctors
Requirements:
  • MRCP or equivalent higher medical qualification
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • 5 years of clinical experience in stroke medicine
  • Leadership and service development experience
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships and team working
