This role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Triumph Motorcycles, where you will be responsible for supporting the introduction of new models into production.

Your primary focus will be on Crankshaft production, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

In collaboration with the design team, you will work on designing new model introductions, providing expert advice on feasibility and potential cost or cycle time implications.

Leading up to volume production, you will be responsible for prototype builds, defining machining processes, and component flow. Process sheets and stage drawings are crucial components of this role, serving as the foundation for Quality in production.

A key aspect of this position is continuous improvement, with a specific focus on optimizing cycle times, enhancing quality, tool life, and energy consumption.

You will also be responsible for procuring new machinery and equipment, as well as designing bespoke component fixtures for online use. Effective management of the procurement cycle for jigs and equipment is essential, encompassing both in-house facilities and external partners.

Safety is paramount, and you will ensure that all machinery and processes meet the highest safety standards. Regular risk assessments will be conducted to guarantee a safe working environment.

During implementation stages, you will train online staff and collaborate with Project Management and Quality to resolve outstanding issues, adopting a no-fault forward approach.

This role demands exceptional communication skills, enabling you to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders across the business.
