Behaviour Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Vision for Education - Plymouth. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and educational development of young people aged 11-16 in a Pupil Referral Unit setting.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to young people, helping them to access education and overcome challenges. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective behaviour regulation strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a passion for making a positive impact on young people's lives. Relevant experience working with young offenders and individuals with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support to young people, addressing their social, emotional, and educational needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour regulation strategies, working closely with teachers and other professionals
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting on achievements and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and deliver learning activities, promoting pupil engagement and motivation
