About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and resilient Behaviour Mentors to work with us in secondary special needs schools in Plymouth. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with SEMH, Autism, and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package for students.
  • Provide individualised support to students, focusing on their emotional and social needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience working with young people with SEMH and Autism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
