Academic English Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people aged 11-16 who are receiving their education in a Pupil Referral Unit setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide guidance and support to young people in the classroom and with their social and emotional development.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective learning activities.
- Monitor pupil progress and achievement, and report on their development.
- Use effective behaviour regulation strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase pupil achievement.
- Be resilient and able to work with challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Have a passion for making a difference to young people's lives.
- Have relevant experience working with young offenders and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
