Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Mentor to join our team at Vision for Education - Plymouth. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and personal development of young people aged 11-16 in a Pupil Referral Unit setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals and groups.
- Monitor pupils' progress, record, and report on their achievement, progress, and development.
- Use effective behaviour regulation strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to young people in the classroom and with their social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with young offenders, young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues.
- Passion to change young people's lives for the better.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with young people, teachers, and other professionals.
