Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing new brands and products, negotiating terms with suppliers, and managing existing brands to drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source new brands and products in line with the company strategy, leveraging your knowledge and expertise of the product and market.
  • Negotiate the best possible terms with suppliers, ensuring that buying decisions are based on a sound commercial framework.
  • Work closely with the Merchandiser to plan and monitor the OTB, taking action or making recommendations as necessary.
  • Be responsible for range planning, working closely with the Merchandiser and Buying Manager.
  • Manage existing brands through analysis of performance, taking action when necessary and making decisions to keep or discontinue within the business.
  • Support the Buying Manager on key pop-up activations and brand launches.
  • Manage the performance of concession businesses through regular meetings and analysis of their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant processes during the ordering process.
Requirements
  • Highly knowledgeable with a well-developed understanding of the product/market.
  • Strategic and operational, with strong analytical skills and experience driving long-term and profitable commercial strategies.
  • Engaging, able to influence stakeholders and drive commercial opportunities.
  • Customer-focused, with exceptional taste and instinct.
  • Numerate, with a highly commercial approach and proficiency in Excel.
  • Collaborative, working flexibly as part of the wider Buying team.
