The Oaklea Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to lead our Children’s and Youth team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide leadership and management of the Children’s and Youth team, ensuring that all activities are delivered in line with The Oaklea Trust’s values and goals.
  • To work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality programs for children and young people, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • To ensure that all activities are safe, enjoyable, and accessible for participants, and that risk assessments are conducted regularly.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to senior staff and trustees as required.
  • To contribute to the development of new initiatives and strategies, working collaboratively with the wider team to achieve organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in a field such as youth work, education, or social care, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, participants, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, working 21 hours per week. The salary for this role is £23,259.60 per annum pro rata, plus benefits. We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
