Hourly Rate: £50

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Offending Team Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality, outcome-focused youth justice services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and strategic direction of the Youth Offending Team (YOT), ensuring compliance with local and national standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and management to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of young offenders and their families.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent offending and re-offending by young people.
  • Oversee case management and ensure that all cases are handled in accordance with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including the police, courts, and social services, to coordinate support for young offenders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the efficient operation of the YOT.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in youth justice or a related area.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing youth offending services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including young people, families, and professionals.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and services.
