Regional Sales Manager

Riedel Communications is a leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports, and entertainment sectors. Our company is divided into three business units: Product Division, Managed Technology & Riedel Networks.
Our Product Division develops, produces, and distributes audio, video, IT, and communication solutions. We deliver a wide range of high-quality and state-of-the-art products that are among the most innovative in the industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the constant development of client relationships, focusing on sales, capturing market share, and sales tracking. They will also evaluate market trends and gather competitive information that affects the growth of sales and profitability for the region and future product potential.
The position will include the responsibilities below:
- Responsible for the constant development of client relationships
- Focus on sales, capturing market share, and sales tracking
- Continuous evaluation of market trends and gathering competitive information
- Be the voice and vision for Riedel Communications in the market
- Responsible for daily maintenance to company's data base management program for the territory
- Take on special projects as assigned
- Coordinate product demonstrations, evaluations, and proof of concept demos with the appropriate technical service department
- Sells to end users in coordination and determines based on customer preference direct fulfilment or with partners
- Leads sales presentations with customers and channel partners; conducts business reviews with them monthly using company provided reports and tools
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
- Track sales pipeline and bookings against quota and other metrics
- Leverage strategic relationships and business partnerships to drive revenue
- Represent Riedel at regional trade shows
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
The candidate must be an excellent communicator and an active listener who takes the time to comprehend what others say and then use the information they learn to build relationships. They will be socially perceptive and aware of nonverbal cues to feel out how a negotiation is going and be able to adjust accordingly.
The ideal candidate will possess most of the characteristics below:
- Completed (technical) studies and proven experience in the Broadcast, Live Production or AV industry
- Sufficient experience in a sales or Pre-sales role
- Relevant, proven "system" sales experience for manufacturing and system integration is a plus
- Must have an understanding of the nature and demands of Broadcast, Entertainment, and all other Riedel Markets
- Working knowledge of the Riedel Portfolio such as MediorNet, Artist and Live Production
- Experience with Video and Audio over IP standards including SMPTE 2110
- Proven experience in working with upscale companies, venues, clients, and channel partners in the assigned territory
- Proficient presentation and communication skills, verbal and written, are mandatory
- Effectively communicate and disseminate information to sales management, marketing department, sales operations, and technical services in a timely and respectful manner
- Appreciates the importance and use of database management programs such as Sales Force
- Immediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar sales management package
