Forensic Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking experienced healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to detained individuals in the West Midlands region.

Estimated Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 FTE

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assess healthcare needs of detainees and provide professional support to custody staff.
  • Conduct forensic sampling and assessments for alcohol and drug intoxication.
  • R retrieve blood samples under the Road Traffic Act and advise custody officers.
  • Deliver forensic practitioner services according to local protocols and codes of practice.
  • Maintain professional development through training and experience.
  • Participate in data collection for service audits and continuous improvement.
  • Develop relationships with consultant medical examiners and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
