Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elderly Care Professional to join our team at Willing Care, an award-winning care home. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our elderly residents during night shifts.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position working nights, offering a competitive rate of £13 per hour. We do not offer Tier 2 sponsorship. If you have a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and making a real difference in people's lives, we would love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities

As an Elderly Care Professional, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Giving top-notch personal care and assistance to elderly residents during night shifts
  • Making sure medication is given and healthcare protocols are followed
  • Encouraging social interaction and mental well-being through various activities
  • Working closely with the healthcare team to create and implement individual care plans
  • Reporting any changes in residents' health or behavior to the medical staff
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of residents' care and progress

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a similar qualification
  • Proven experience in elderly care, preferably in a senior healthcare assistant role
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and infection control practices
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a caring and patient-centred approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathy, respect, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of care
