Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Special Education Needs Assistant in a SEND school in North Tyneside.
You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to pupils in a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead activities with individuals or small groups to facilitate educational development.
- Provide a stimulating and well-structured learning environment suitable for pupils with SEMH.
- Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams.
- Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities.
Requirements:
- Fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience of working in a transferable role or with SEMH individuals.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay rate (£22,500 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience).
- Refer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply).
- Dedicated consultant for ongoing support.
- Potential permanent contract after a qualifying period.
