Doing good Leeds is a highly acclaimed Neighbourhood Network Scheme that works with older people living in the community, promoting their well-being and alleviating social isolation.

Our Mission

We strive to provide a range of services and activities that support the development of healthy and physical mental well-being, including:

  • Singing and music-based activities
  • Tai chi and yoga classes
  • Fun keep fit and line dancing sessions
  • Day trips and holidays
  • Bi-weekly lunch clubs and social events

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager to replace the existing post holder who is retiring. The successful candidate will have a commitment to and understanding of the needs of older people and will have the experience to find new ways of meeting those needs now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take existing work on board and monitor and evaluate its success on a regular basis
  • Continuously build on the Group's achievements and plan to enhance services, increasing memberships, volunteers, activities, and fundraising
  • Work closely with staff and volunteers to provide a range of services and activities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in community development and older peoples support
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
