South Asian Communities Peer Support Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a South Asian Communities Peer Support Lead. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting hepatitis awareness and liver health among South Asian communities in the West Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach programs to increase awareness and access to hepatitis treatment and liver disease care among South Asian communities.
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to build partnerships and support networks.
- Provide training and support to peer volunteers to enhance their skills and confidence in promoting hepatitis awareness and liver health.
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities to reach underserved communities and promote health education and awareness.
- Work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to increase access to hepatitis treatment and liver disease care.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in community outreach, health education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of hepatitis and liver disease, including the impact on South Asian communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to travel extensively across the West Yorkshire area, with a clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
