We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a key member of our Talent team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of modern, future-focused learning initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate training offerings, including monitoring life cycles, organizing logistics, and managing budgets.
- Manage various IT systems and review existing training requests to ensure efficient organization by external training providers.
- Ensure accurate and traceable training data, and capture effective data to support reporting on training provider delivery.
- Escalate any issues directly with the Training and Compliance manager to ensure timely management.
- Obtain, develop, and organize training course materials, including joining instructions, supporting materials, digital resources, and evaluation.
- Data analysis or analytical software skills, including Excel, PowerBI, or advanced reporting capability using Excel.
- Computer-based training and recording software skills, including SuccessFactors LMS, LinkedIn Learning, and Microsoft suite.
- Customer experience knowledge, including principles and processes for providing good customer and stakeholder service.
- Administration and management knowledge, including business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Detail-oriented and able to effectively identify and problem-solve challenges as they arise.
- Broad knowledge of construction and the industry.
- Critical thinking skills, including the ability to understand logical connections between activities and question ideas and assumptions.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to assess, prioritize, and manage a varied and demanding workload.
- Initiative and drive, including the ability to work independently without close direction and use judgment about when to escalate or engage with others.
- 3-5 years' experience in training or a related function.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
