About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Disabilities Specialist Doctor to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Specialist Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our service users and their loved ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist medical care to patients with learning disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to learning disabilities care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and services.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • At least 4 years postgraduate experience, including at least 2 years in core psychiatry training programme.
  • Good clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
