About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Mental Health Practitioner - Perinatal Team to join our specialist perinatal mental health service in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to women experiencing mental health issues during pregnancy and childbirth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of perinatal mental health and its impact on service users. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing care plans, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide support and guidance to service users and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored care plans for service users.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide support and guidance to service users and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy).
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist with current registration.
  • Experience working in a perinatal mental health setting or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days with continuous service, and access to a lease car scheme.
