**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to lead our Transitional Support team in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients who have serious mental illness, providing expert care and support to empower them to achieve independent living.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage medication, delegating tasks to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Provide person-centred support to residents with serious mental illness, including adults with primary diagnoses of psychotic illnesses.
  • Take the lead during incidents, safeguarding, and complaints, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Mentor new support workers through induction, including the completion of the Care Certificate and medication training.

**Requirements:**

  • G.C.S.E.s in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Detailed understanding of mental health and wellbeing challenges and the level of care and support residents may require.
  • Good knowledge of how to support with referrals and assessments.
  • Understanding of current approaches to mental health practice.
