Fleet Manager Job Description

As a key member of the JD Sports Fashion plc team, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's fleet of vehicles. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure the fleet is consolidated and operating efficiently and cost-effectively while meeting the needs of the organisation and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a fleet management strategy to optimize vehicle utilization, minimize operating costs, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and manage policies and processes for the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of company vehicles.
  • Monitor and analyze fleet data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and implement fleet safety and compliance programs to ensure regulatory requirements are met and drivers are trained to operate vehicles safely.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their fleet requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in fleet management, preferably on a global scale within fast-paced omni-channel retail and/or relevant commodity/services experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify and initiate opportunities to deliver operational and financial efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and other relevant technology tools.
