Job Overview

About the Role

The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30, providing academic support to students aged 2-19. You will be working in a dynamic and empathetic team, promoting positive engagement and acceptance among vulnerable students who have experienced trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  3. Implement holistic techniques to engage non-verbal students and promote academic progress.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Good instincts for working with children, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is an advantage.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with students who may exhibit challenging behaviors. You will receive comprehensive training in SEN and safeguarding practices, including MAPA Training.
