Job Summary:

The Clinical Educator - Paediatric Critical Care Unit role is a key position within the NHS Lothian team, responsible for enhancing the quality of the learning environment in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit. This involves providing educational input and development activities to support registered nurses, clinical support workers, and other learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Education Team, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Senior Charge Nurses to co-ordinate and facilitate educational needs and resources available to the nursing team.
  • Ensure patients are cared for to the highest standard by providing high-quality educational support.
  • Motivate staff to provide high standards of clinical education by acting as a role model.
  • Achieve specific administrative commitments of this role.

Requirements:

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
