Job Title: Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our ambulances are in top condition, ready to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faults in ambulances, using your expertise in vehicle mechanics and diagnostic techniques.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as servicing and inspections, to ensure our vehicles are in good working order.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goals and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Participate in a 24-hour breakdown service, responding to calls and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques, attending training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • C1 License category (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle mechanical engineering
  • NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent qualification
