About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Workshop Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our ambulances are safe and operational, providing critical care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Provide a safe, effective, and efficient maintenance and repair service, adhering to MOT standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in a rota for 24-hour service and repair callouts, working in various weather conditions.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as preventative maintenance, on vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
  • C1 License category (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle mechanical engineering
  • NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent qualification
