Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Services Technician to join our team at Staff Partners Business in Kettering. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sterilization Equipment Operation: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining sterilization equipment according to established protocols and procedures, ensuring optimal results and minimizing downtime.
  2. Instrument Preparation: Your task will involve preparing and packaging instruments, equipment, and supplies for sterilization, adhering to strict guidelines and quality control measures.
  3. Cycle Monitoring: You will monitor and record sterilization cycles, including time, temperature, and pressure, to guarantee accurate results and maintain comprehensive records.
  4. Inspection and Quality Control: Regular inspections of instruments and equipment will be performed to ensure cleanliness and functionality, with any defects or issues promptly addressed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or certification in this field is preferred.
  • You must possess knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and supplies, as well as an understanding of infection control principles and practices.
  • Your attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols accurately are essential.
  • You should also have excellent organizational and time management skills, allowing you to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team are crucial for success in this role.
Working Conditions and Benefits:

This is a full-time temporary position with a competitive hourly rate of £17.00-18.10 per hour. The shift pattern includes working Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. If you are immediately available and happy to take on this challenge, we would love to hear from you.
