Sterile Services Technician Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Services Technician to join our team at Staff Partners Business. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical instruments.
Job Overview:This is a temporary contract position requiring immediate availability. The successful candidate will have experience in processing contaminated instruments and working effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare and package instruments, equipment, and supplies for sterilization.
- Monitor and record sterilization cycles, including time, temperature, and pressure.
- Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities and inventory levels.
- Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper sterilization practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician or experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and supplies.
- Understanding of infection control principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Estimated salary: £17.00 - £18.10 per hour
