**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Consultant in Older Adults Psychiatry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric care to older adults, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

 

**Salary:** The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

 

**Job Description:** As a Consultant in Older Adults Psychiatry, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist psychiatric care to older adults, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to mental health care for older adults

 

**Required Skills and Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree or equivalent qualification in psychiatry
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in psychiatric care, preferably in a geriatric setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
