Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Senior Care Assistant at Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to older adults, while working within the Christian ethos of our organization.

Salary: £13.03 - £13.13 per hour (dependent on experience)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience caring for older people, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the design, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans for residents
• Monitor and maintain records of resident care and medication administration
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their independence and dignity
• Participate in daily prayers and spiritual activities with residents, reflecting the Christian ethos of our organization

Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care
• Medication competency or willingness to achieve this within 4 weeks
• Experience working in a residential care setting for older adults
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
