About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Therapy Specialist to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with complex mental health needs, including those with a history of trauma.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological therapy services to clients with complex mental health problems, often diagnosed as Personality Disorder. They will be responsible for providing assessment, formulation, risk management, and interventions for individuals and groups, as well as consultation and advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist psychological therapy services to clients with complex mental health problems, often diagnosed as Personality Disorder.
  • To supervise trainees and qualified practitioners as agreed.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
  • To utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research for the area served by the service.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and appropriate professional registration. They will also possess core NHS/Social Care professional training and a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience of working as a psychological therapist with adult clients with Complex psychological problems.

In addition to a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, we offer a range of benefits, including access to regular supervision, opportunities for developing through CPD structures, and flexible working arrangements.
