Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-level secretariat and administrative support to internal and external committees, ensuring all logistics are in place.
  • Producing high-quality and timely minutes.
  • Proofreading all papers and coversheets for meetings.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving the collection and quality of management information and liaising with relevant teams to implement improvements.
  • Liaising with teams across LGC Group to identify process improvement opportunities, particularly in line with implementing best practice.
  • Providing a high standard of administrative support to the Governance, Performance and Improvement team, including database maintenance, logs, and risk registers.
  • Working with the team to understand corporate and customer policies, as well as key areas of legislation, to challenge LGC Group's processes accordingly, with a focus on research funding best practice.
Qualifications and Competencies

Experience and Technical Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • A BSc in Science, Humanities, or Law.
  • An understanding of academic and/or research activities in science.
  • Experience of translating policy into practice.
  • Process mapping skills.
  • Ability to manage and present complex information.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
  • Skills in scheduling, preparing, and organizing documents for high-level meetings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite software.
Additional Information
