About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Nurse to join our team at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our paediatric nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Peri-Operative environment.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care in the Peri-Operative environment.
  • Provide effective support to patients and their families throughout their care pathway.
  • Abide by Trust policies and procedures.
  • Support and deputise for the nurse in charge as needed.
  • Act as a patient advocate in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council standards.
Person Specification
  • Evidence of achievements and career development in current post.
  • Awareness of current relevant NHS policy context.
  • Understanding/experience of adult/child safeguarding.
  • NMC registration.
  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
