About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Community Nursing Specialist to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan care for children with complex health needs, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Provide education and support to families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to promote the physical and emotional well-being of children with special needs.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing practice and policy within the specialist field, ensuring that our care is evidence-based and of the highest standard.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
