About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Nurse to join our team at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and young people in our wards and departments.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that each child receives the best possible care and support. Your role will involve providing effective support to patients and their families, as well as acting as a role model, teacher, and supervisor for junior staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care in the Peri-Operative environment
  • Provide effective support to patients and their families
  • Act as a role model, teacher, and supervisor for junior staff and students
  • Participate in mentorship and preceptorship programs
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (appropriate to branch)
  • NMC registration
  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing (completed or willingness to undertake) or equivalent experience
