Accounts Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our team at Reed. As an Accounts Clerk, you will be responsible for processing client payments, invoices, disbursements, petty cash, and daily banking with high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions: Process client payments, invoices, disbursements, petty cash, and daily banking with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Compliance Activities: Conduct compliance activities to ensure adherence to financial regulations and policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Partners, fee earners, and staff regarding billing and client enquiries.
  • Financial Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Software Utilization: Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero for daily tasks.
Requirements:
  • Numerical Skills: Strong numerical skills and ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Communication: Professional telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organisation: Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Software Familiarity: Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
