Research Centre Director

The University of Leicester is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Centre Manager to lead the operations of the newly established British Heart Foundation (BHF) Research Excellence Centre.
About the CentreThis prestigious Centre, under the leadership of Professor Andre Ng, has been awarded £3 million over five years to advance our world-leading cardiovascular research across three primary themes: 'Discovery,' 'Interventions,' and 'Populations.'
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating activities with other BHF Centres of Research Excellence
- Acting as an ambassador for the Centre, fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to support the Centre's growth and success
- Leading large-scale research initiatives, managing complex budgets, and providing high-level administrative support
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or equivalent qualification, with evidence of formal postgraduate courses and ongoing professional development. You should have significant experience in project management, particularly within a research environment, and a proven track record of managing staff, systems, and procedures.
Experience in a research setting, particularly in a Centre or institute, is highly desirable, as is a Project Management Qualification such as PRINCE 2.
