Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Residential Child Care Manager to lead and manage a 4-bed children's home in Doncaster. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential child care, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in complex disabilities/health settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement therapeutic practices to promote children's emotional and social well-being.
  • Lead and manage a 4-bed children's home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Register and achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
  • Drive excellence within the home through quality assurance, budget management, and team development.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and child-centered practices.
  • Mentor and develop a dedicated team, fostering continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve optimal outcomes for children in care.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Residential Child Care, ideally in complex disabilities/health settings.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care (or willingness to complete within 3 years).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children's Act 2004, and Ofsted standards.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £44,401-£48,356 depending on experience, up to 33 days annual leave (plus public holidays), and employee discounts.
