As a Lead Demand Forecaster, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, developing and growing the team, to work with senior leaders across pricing, commercial and trading to influence hedging strategies.

You will implement new demand forecasting technologies and drive change in other parts of the organisation to ensure your team have the tools, data and insights to deliver best in class demand forecasting performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of analysts, ensuring they generate short- & long-term forecasts for electricity and gas in-line with agreed standards.
  2. Continuously improve demand forecasting performance by improving input data quality, computations, algorithms and checks and balances.
  3. Collaborate with Structuring on contractual volume risk optimisation to ensure we are competitive while remaining cost reflective.
  4. Develop strong relationships with Technology and Data & Insight function to recommend and implement a new demand forecasting system.
  5. Support the team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities, workloads are managed and individuals are developing their skills.
