Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist

The CAMHS crisis and therapeutic home treatment team provides assessment and interventions to young people experiencing mental deterioration or crisis presentations. This is a dynamic environment where you will be working with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable young people and their families.
We work within the Thrive model, collaborating with community services and the community SET CAMHS team to ensure effective clinical practice and brief therapeutic interventions, reducing risk to have a stabilizing impact within a containing approach.
This role involves skilled assessments, formulation, management, and delivery of therapy to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises in community and hospital settings. As an experienced professional, you will possess a current Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Psychotherapy, or equivalent professional qualification and be skilled and experienced in delivering evidence-based approaches to therapy (including DBT/CBT/Systemic & Creative therapies).
You will also have knowledge and experience of working with legal frameworks related to the care and treatment of children and young people, particularly the Children Act 1989, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended in 2007). A key aspect of this role is your ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative and supportive member of the Multidisciplinary Team, with an understanding of networks surrounding young people in modern society, especially regarding mental health and crisis.
This position comes with a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of attracting skilled professionals who are passionate about improving the lives of young people.
