About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure a diverse and appealing range of options for our clients and customers.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, adhering to food handling, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to feedback and concerns to continuously improve our food services.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain well-stocked kitchens and minimize waste.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Chartwells - Schools and maintain a positive brand image through your work and interactions with clients and customers.

Requirements

  • Culinary Experience: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and have experience in a similar Chef role.
  • Leadership Skills: Have experience supervising a team and be able to motivate and lead others to achieve exceptional results.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Food Safety Certification: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and be committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
