Job Title: Oxford Academic Support Assistant

Job Type: Self-Employed/ PAYE

Hours: 19.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 15:30

Location: Oxford (commutable distance required)

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and accurate notetaker to provide academic support to students with visual impairments. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking electronic notes during face-to-face and virtual lectures, seminars, and tutorials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take accurate and comprehensive notes during lectures, seminars, and tutorials
  • Ensure notes are clear and legible, with diagrams and references to handouts as required
  • Hand over notes within 24 hours of the lecture taking place
  • Manage paperwork effectively, including filling in timesheets and posting them at the end of each month
  • Attend relevant training or meetings

Requirements:

  • Proficient and accurate typing skills
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills
  • Ability to work in a professional, helpful, and flexible manner
  • Current DBS certificate or willingness to register for one
  • Self-Employed registration
  • Ability to complete the Senclude Note Taking course (if not already qualified)
