Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at ASDA. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including tendering and contract management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions.
- Lead on major business investments and executive priorities within the function.
- Contribute to our cost and cash programme, leveraging data and analytics to drive business outcomes.
- Proven experience in procurement or category management, with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, including contract management and supplier relationship management.
