Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Asda. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving our transformation journey and supporting our business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve procurement efficiency.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Lead on major business investments and executive priorities within the procurement function.
- Contribute to our cost and cash programme, leveraging data and analytics to drive business outcomes.
- Proven experience in procurement category management, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Experience in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.
